Applications ranging from air conditioning and medium temperature application to the low temperature refrigeration range
Multistep oil separator
Sindelfingen/Nuremberg, 14.10.2014. Long-standing company BITZER will be showcasing its new OS.95 compressors for ammonia (OS.A95) at Chillventa 2014 in Nuremberg (Hall 4, Stands 310 and 408) from October 14 to 16. Based on the tried-and-tested OS.85 series, this model is specially optimized for ammonia. Because the volume flow is nearly double, BITZER has developed a tailored oil separator.
For the first time, BITZER will be introducing specialist visitors to the new OS.A95 with a displacement of up to 1,015 m3/h at 50 Hz at Chillventa. The new series has been specially developed for use in industrial ammonia applications. To meet these requirements, the compressor specialist further developed its existing OS.85 series and adapted the oil separator for use with the new OS.A95 screw compressors.
Electronics for perfect slider control A key component of the OS.A95 is the integrated smart electronics CM-SW-01 that in conjunction with the Vi slider can be used to efficiently and infinitely adjust the volume ratio in a wide range of applications. This is made possible with integrated sensors and slider position indicator. The electronics also reliably monitor the application limits, the allowable temperatures of the compressor and the oil supply. There are also Modbus-based communication interfaces to the master system controllers.
The full application spectrum of the new model ranges from air conditioning and medium temperature application to the low temperature refrigeration range, thanks to the enhanced rotor profiles with optimized flow cross sections. BITZER will follow up the ammonia model in the OS.95 series with compressors for other refrigerants. Infinite slider control with position indicator optimizes compressor capacity adjustment in line with system requirements. Internal oil management, which stems from the CSH series, is also employed here, using exceptionally low quantities of oil and differential pressures to ensure reliable and extremely efficient oil lubrication for the compressor.
Multistep oil separation BITZER’s newly developed horizontal oil separator is ideal for use with the OS.A95 compressor series. Several separating stages can be combined in one vessel, making the system simpler and the units more compact.
Thanks to multistep separation, the OAHC65051A oil separators ensure minimal oil carry over rates well below 10 ppm. BITZER developed these for the purpose of increasing the compressor capacity of the new OS.A95 series. Optimized oil charge amounts and a service flange for simple filter replacement round off the benefits of the OAHC65051A oil separator.
